RiverTier — Last updated: October 16, 2026This Privacy Policy explains how RiverTier ("the App," "we," "us") handles information when you use the App. By using RiverTier, you agree to the practices described here.INFORMATION WE COLLECT
- Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address. If you sign in with Apple, we receive the name and email you choose to share; if you use Apple's "Hide My Email," we receive a private relay address instead.
- App activity. Rivers you save or follow, and basic preferences, so the App can show you the information you care about.
- Purchase information. If you subscribe to RiverTier Pro, the purchase is processed by Apple. We receive subscription status (active/expired) to unlock Pro features; we never see your payment details.
- Technical data. Standard information such as app version and general device type, used to keep the App working and diagnose problems.INFORMATION WE DO NOT COLLECT
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not use your information for advertising.
- River condition data shown in the App comes from public U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) stream gauges and is not personal information about you.HOW WE USE INFORMATION
- To create and manage your account and sign you in.
- To provide core features, such as showing river conditions and the rivers you follow.
- To manage RiverTier Pro subscription access.
- To maintain, secure, and improve the App.HOW INFORMATION IS STORED
Account and app data are stored on secure cloud infrastructure provided by Cloudflare. We take reasonable measures to protect your information, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
- Apple — Sign in with Apple authentication and subscription billing.
- Cloudflare — backend hosting and data storage.
- U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) — public source of river gauge data (no personal data is shared with USGS).
These services process data under their own privacy policies.DATA RETENTION AND DELETION
We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at the email below, and we will delete it within a reasonable period.CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
RiverTier is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
